The Railway Recruitment Board has released the details for the RRB NTPC Exam (Graduate Level) for the year 2025

Vacancies ;
The total number of vacancies is 5810

The lower and upper age limits indicated for a particular post(s) in the vacancy table will be reckoned as on 01.01.2026


Exam Date :
Dates of CBTs/CBAT/CBTST and DV will be published on the websites of participating RRBs . E-call letters for CBTs/CBAT/CBTST and DV (as applicable) should be downloaded ONLY from the websites of the RRBs concerned as given
The CBTs/CBAT/CBTST Centre, date and shift indicated in the e-call letter shall be final, and no request for change of date/ time/ place will be entertained
Medical Standards :

The above medical standards are indicative, not exhaustive and applicable to all candidates in general. For details, candidates are advised to read Chapter 5 of Indian Railway Medical Manual (IRMM) Vol. I, which can be accessed at www.indianrailways.gov.in. Candidates must ensure that they are medically fit and eligible as per prescribed medical standards for the posts opted for by them.
Position Parameters and Educational Qualification :


RECRUITMENT PROCESS:
(a) ONLY ONE online application through any of the official website of the RRBs is required to be submitted by the candidate.
(b) The recruitment process shall involve 1st Stage Computer Based Test (CBT), 2nd Stage Computer Based Test (CBT), Computer Based Typing Skill Test (CBTST)/Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) (as applicable) and Document Verification/Medical Examination. Selection is made strictly as per merit, on the basis of above-mentioned recruitment stages.
(c) The date, time and venue for all the activities viz. CBTs, CBTST/CBAT, Document Verification, Medical Examination or any other additional activity as applicable shall be fixed by the RRBs and shall be intimated to the eligible candidates in due course.
EXAM PROCESS :

There will be negative marking and 1/3 mark shall be deducted for each wrong answer
The Questions will be of objective type with multiple choices
Minimum percentage of marks for eligibility in various categories: UR-40%, EWS- 40%, OBC (Non creamy layer) -30%, SC-30%, ST-25%.
Total no. of candidates to be shortlisted shall be 15 times the community wise vacancies of posts notified against the RRB as per their merit in 1st Stage CBT
2nd Stage Computer Based Test (CBT):

Candidates equal to 8 times the number of vacancies of Station Master / Traffic Assistant for each of the communities i.e. UR, OBC-NCL, SC, ST and EWS (including ExSM) shall be short listed for CBAT based on their performance in 2nd Stage CBT from among the candidates who have opted for the post of Station Master / Traffic Assistant.

General Intelligence and Reasoning:
Analogies, Completion of Number and Alphabetical Series, Coding and Decoding, Mathematical Operations, Similarities and Differences, Relationships, Analytical Reasoning, Syllogism, Jumbling, Venn Diagrams, Puzzle, Data Sufficiency, Statement-Conclusion, Statement- Courses of Action, Decision Making, Maps, Interpretation of Graphs etc.
General Awareness:
Current Events of National and International Importance, Games and Sports, Art and Culture of India, Indian Literature,Monuments and Places of India, General Science and Life Science (up to 10th CBSE), History of India and Freedom Struggle,Physical, Social and Economic Geography of India and World, Indian Polity and Governance- constitution and political system,General Scientific and Technological Developments including Space and Nuclear Program of India, UN and Other important World Organizations, Environmental Issues Concerning India and World at Large, Basics of Computers and Computer Applications, Common Abbreviations, Transport Systems in India, Indian Economy, Famous Personalities of India and World,Flagship Government Programs, Flora and Fauna of India, Important Government and Public Sector Organizations of India etc.
CBAT :
Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) will be conducted after qualifying the 2nd Stage CBT (Only for candidates who have opted for Station Master / Traffic Assistant)
The aptitude tests have been designed for various jobs in critical safety categories. You will be given the test battery, consisting of five‐six tests, prescribed for the job you have applied for. Generally, the tests are administered in groups of 35‐150 candidates. They are required to answer the questions given in test booklets and mark the responses on OMR Answer Sheets.

Qualifying marks: The candidates need to secure a minimum T-Score of 42 marks in each of the test batteries to qualify. This is applicable to all candidates irrespective of community or category i.e. irrespective of SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/ExSM and no relaxation in the minimum T-Score is permissible.
Such shortlisted candidates should produce the Vision Certificate in the prescribed format as per Annexure VII in original during CBAT, failing which they will not be permitted to appear in the CBAT
Computer Based Typing Skill Test (CBTST):
For the posts of Senior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Accounts Assistant cum Typist. Computer Based Typing Skill Test (CBTST) of qualifying nature (marks obtained in typing skill test shall not be added for making merit) shall be conducted for which the number of candidates equal to eight times the number of vacancies for each of the community shall be called for. The candidates should be able to type 30 words per minute (WPM) in English or 25 WPM in Hindi on Personal Computer only without editing tools and spell check facility
